In 2001, my father had the idea to create Advertise Wisconsin Online Classifieds. From there, we branched out to eventually own and operate a website for each of the 50 United states, as well as a few specialty classified websites.
It was a lot of work logging into 55+ websites every week to look for new ads. Not to mention the high cost of owning that many domain names!
Eventually, I built “50 States Classifieds” in 2005, and we started pointing the different states to that site. I operated the site for 14 years, but eventually, the script was so old, I needed to retire it. I was also not sure I loved that name anymore. So in January 2019, I moved the site to a new domain name, OnlineClassifieds.net.
When you post an ad on my website, you’re becoming part of a spam-free local online advertising community! All ads are hand-screened by a real live person to prevent the website from being overrun by spam and scams.
