cPTSD and Me – based in Canada – Serving North America & Europe

cPTSD and Me is a cPTSD support page that is primarily focused on childhood trauma and adverse childhood experience(s) and their causes and symptoms and treatments. They had an already established facebook community with a huge following. They hired me to create logos and merchandise for them.

Project Case Study

The client wanted to develop their logo ideas and create merchandise with the logos. They showed me examples and described what they wanted in detail. I worked with them to create the logo they envisioned. The first logo is a semicolon made of flowers. The second logo incorporates the first logo into it, with the semicolon being used to replace the letter “i” in “warrior”.

Since some merchandise has a dark background and some has a light background, I also made variations of both logos, so that there was a version to use on either light or dark colored items.

The next stage of this project was to create a North American spreadshop, to sell to users in North America. I set up all 4 designs on 100+ products each.

Next, I created and designed the UK / European spreadshop and uploaded and configured 100+ products for each of the 4 designs there as well. I also connected the two spreadshops via the admin panel.

The reason for needing to create and design TWO spreadshops, is that this seller is in Canada, and wants to sell internationally. Spreadshop is a North American manufacturer. To comply with EU privacy laws, they must host a separate website in Europe, as well as manufacture the products in EU countries and ship locally within Europe in that manner.

The client has studied their demographics and knows that their very large user base is about equally split between North America and Europe. It would be foolish to only focus on one region when they have followers in all countries who want to buy their merchandise.

Changing privacy laws in Europe are causing a lot of confusion and hardship for small businesses who want to sell products and services internationally. But thankfully, spreadshop and other print on demand services are changing their business models to suit the current rules, making it easier to keep up with the current standards.
