This weekend, Gene from The Stoner’s Travel Guide to Upper Michigan invited me to go to the Summer’s End Smoke Out in Republic, Michigan. Hosted by Elevated Exotics, it was the 2nd year for this 3 day cannabis themed festival. You could choose to camp for the weekend, but we were not up for all of that, so we just got a 1 day pass for Friday and drove up from Menominee.
My artist friends Rowyn from Rowyn Designs and Christina from DeLuna Roseblood Creations were vending there along with Ciara from Azarath.
My entertainment industry friends Jesse and Abi from Powell Sound were running sound at the Dab Tent Stage. They were also running the UP Pinball Collective‘s tent full of classic Pinball games.
There were three stages at this festival. The vendors were all set up by the Forest stage, where a lot of EDM was playing on Friday.
All of the food trucks were set up either next to the Dab Tent Stage or the Main Stage. There was a good variety of food, art, and music to enjoy.
It rained a good portion of the day on Friday, but eventually the rain stopped and the weather was absolutely glorious after that. Later on the rain started again for a while, but overall it was perfect weather, and the rain wasn’t bad at all.
The next day we headed to Marquette to see a few sights including the Lakenenland Sculpture Park, and then took a slow drive back to Menominee via Escanaba. It was a really nice weekend!
